Couples Therapy: Decision-Making Processes Within A Sample of Successful Inter-Cultural Couples

Objective: The objective of this study was to understand how educated, professional, inter-cultural couples in harmonious marriages make important family decisions. Background: Globalization and has led to widespread inter-cultural relationships, particularly in pluralist societies. Inter-cultural relationships tend to have a higher risk of divorce and lower marital satisfaction than same background marriages yet many inter-cultural marriages are stable and successful, even with the added challenge of raising children in a country with a culture different to either parent.
