Future Anxiety among University Students in Light of the Corona Pandemic and War in Yemen

The study sample consisted of 320 male and female students, of whom 200 were from Sana’a University a public university, and 120 from private universities, in the capital Sana’a. Therefore, a Future Anxiety Scale was developed. The results of the study showed that the level of future anxiety among the sample members was high, as the political field came first with a high degree, while the social field came in the last with a high degree. The results also indicated that there were no differences in the level of total future anxiety and its fields according to the gender variable. Except in the political field, there are differences in favor of females. There are no differences in the level of total future anxiety and its fields according to the variable of marital status, except the political field, there are differences in favor of the married. The results also confirmed the absence of differences in all fields according to economic status, residence, and type of university variables, with exception of the political field according to the university variable in favor of Sana’a University.
